J-QUANT Formaldehyde test strips semi-quantitatively measure the formaldehyde content of aqueous solutions up to 200 mg/L (ppm).
Formaldehyde is an irritant as well as being carcinogenic. It is used as a disinfectant and biocide however it is primarily used in the production of plywood and textiles. When combined with certain chemical compounds, formaldehyde produces a hard resin used as an adhesive.
