PTC Taste Test Paper is used in education to test for the presence of the PTC gene in humans. When placed in the tongue, the paper will either taste intensely bitter or not at all depending on whether the gene is present. On average roughly 75% of the population will taste bitterness, whereas the remaining 25% will not.
