Water Coolant (EC64) paper gives a qualitative indication of the quality of water coolants by detecting the buildup of acidity in solutions containing ethylene glycol or other similar anti-freeze additives. This paper can be used to give a clear indication when the acidity is too high, and the coolant needs replacing. When acceptable, a bright green colour will be observed, whereas the paper will turn purple when too much acidity is present.
